What is AWANA ?

At Potter’s Wheel Church, we are passionate about helping young children and families grow in the truth and light of God’s Word.

Our AWANA Playgroup is a bible-based early childhood program designed to nurture the well-being of the WHOLE child:

Through play, learning, friendship, and faith, children and parents build meaningful connections together in a loving Christian environment.

Age Groups

An Early Childhood Program For 2-3 Year Olds

These young children are welcomed each week with free play time, songs, and simple crafts and activities. Leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colourful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more!

An Early Childhood Program For 3 - 5 Year Olds

Preschoolers will experience Story Time each week where they will learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Saviour. They will also take part in non-competitive games to build excitement and reinforce Story Time lesson themes.

(Wednesdays 10am - 12pm)

Fall Session

Sept. 23 – Dec. 16 (13 weeks)

Winter Session

Jan. 6 – Mar. 31 (12 weeks)

Apr. 14 – Jun. 16 (10 weeks)

  • Yes. Each child must be accompanied by one parent for the duration of the playgroup.

  • 25$ to register - includes club uniform

    25$ per session - includes all materials

    Total: 100$ / year

  • Indoor running shoes and a water bottle.

  • The program will be run in English, however, some teachers will be able to communicate in French. Most resources will be made available in French upon request.

  • Yes. We will be providing one healthy snack during the 2-hour session.

  • We encourage children to wear comfortable clothing that will allow them to move and play freely indoors and outdoors.

    A group t-shirt will be provided for the Puggles and a vest will be provided for the Cubbies.
