At My First Defense

2 Timothy 4:16 – “At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.”

Key Lessons:

• Don’t mistake spiritual activity for God’s approval.

Just because something looks busy or spiritual doesn’t mean it pleases God.

• Don’t measure progress by what you see.

What looks like success to us may not be success in God’s eyes.

• God sees the heart, not appearances.

True obedience is internal. People may miss it, but God never does.

• Outward results don’t always reflect inward obedience.

What impresses people might not please Yahweh.
