It Has Always Been Christ
In Genesis 14, after rescuing his nephew Lot, Abraham encounters a fascinating figure named Melchizedek, described as a "priest of the Most High God." This encounter is remarkable, especially considering that the formal priesthood through Aaron would not exist for several hundred more years.
It gives me great comfort to see this truth: even long before Aaron’s priesthood, Jesus was already acting as priest for all who believed in Yahweh. Even then, there was no other way to God except through Him.
Hebrews 7:17 confirms this beautifully:
"For it is declared: 'You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.'"
From beginning to end, it has always been Christ.
