IT IS YOUR HOUSE — YOU HAVE A CHOICE
2 Timothy 2:20-21
“In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.”
Sometimes we expect God to force us into doing what is right — to somehow override our choices. But this passage reminds us that "those who cleanse themselves" are the ones who become instruments for noble purposes. The responsibility to pursue holiness and set ourselves apart lies with us.
As you read 2 Timothy 2 today, remember this truth:
Your life is like a house.
Even when things feel chaotic or out of control, it is still your house.
You still have a choice in how you use your time, your body, your words, and your opportunities.
You can choose to be a vessel of honor — set apart, useful, and ready for every good work.
