A POWERFUL WARNING

In the story of Moses’ 40 days of fasting, we encounter a profound truth about the power of prayer. God intended to destroy all the Israelites due to their rebellion, but Moses' intercession changed God's mind (Ex 32:11). This reveals something significant: God deeply values the prayers of His friends. Your intercession matters greatly—offer it generously.

Yet, there's a crucial warning here. As we fast, we must guard our hearts carefully against spiritual pride and unchecked anger. Moses' anger proved extremely costly. Because he lost control, today we no longer have the original tablets, described in Scripture as:

"The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets." (Exodus 32:16)

So, as you continue your fast, remember that you're still human. Stay humble, both before God and those around you.
